Cookie Policy

Last updated: March 4, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Solid Rock Software Cloud (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you use BlazeApp (“Service”). By continuing to use the Service, you consent to our use of cookies as described in this policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to website owners. Cookies allow us to recognize your device and remember information about your visit, such as your preferences and login state.

Similar technologies include web beacons, pixel tags, local storage, and session storage, which work in comparable ways. References to “cookies” in this policy apply to all such technologies.

2. Cookies We Use

Session Cookies

Session cookies are temporary and are deleted when you close your browser. We use them to:

  • Maintain your authenticated session while you navigate BlazeApp
  • Store temporary state during multi-step operations (e.g., project creation, deploys)
  • Prevent cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks

Authentication Cookies

These persistent cookies keep you logged in across browser sessions. We use them to:

  • Remember that you are logged in so you don't have to sign in on every visit
  • Securely identify your account when accessing protected resources
  • Support OAuth provider tokens (GitHub, Google) if you use social login

Authentication cookies typically expire after 30 days or when you explicitly sign out.

Analytics Cookies

We use analytics cookies to understand how users interact with BlazeApp so we can improve the Service. These cookies collect:

  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • Features used and navigation paths
  • Error rates and performance metrics
  • Aggregated usage statistics (not linked to individual identities)

Analytics data is used only to improve BlazeApp and is not shared with advertisers.

3. First-Party vs. Third-Party Cookies

First-party cookies

First-party cookies are set directly by BlazeApp (blazeapp.io). These include all session, authentication, and preference cookies described above. We have full control over these cookies and use them solely to operate the Service.

Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by third-party services we use to operate and improve BlazeApp:

  • Analytics providers: May set cookies to help us understand aggregate usage patterns. These providers are bound by data processing agreements and may not use your data for their own advertising purposes.
  • Payment processors: When you enter payment information, our payment provider may set cookies for fraud prevention and PCI compliance. We do not store payment card details ourselves.
  • OAuth providers (GitHub, Google): If you sign in using a social login provider, that provider may set cookies on their own domains as part of the authentication flow. These are governed by their respective privacy policies.

We do not use advertising networks or behavioral tracking cookies.

4. How to Manage and Opt Out

You have several options to control cookies:

Browser settings

Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies through their settings. Look for the privacy or security section in your browser's preferences:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Preferences → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Impact of blocking cookies

Please note that blocking or deleting cookies may affect your experience with BlazeApp:

  • Essential/session cookies: Blocking these will prevent you from logging in or using core features of BlazeApp.
  • Authentication cookies: Blocking these means you will need to sign in on every visit.
  • Analytics cookies: Blocking these has no impact on your use of BlazeApp, but does limit our ability to improve the Service.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. BlazeApp currently does not alter its data collection practices based on DNT signals, but we do not engage in cross-site behavioral tracking regardless.

5. Cookie Retention

The length of time a cookie remains on your device depends on whether it is a session or persistent cookie:

  • Session cookies: Deleted when you close your browser
  • Authentication cookies: Persist for up to 30 days
  • Analytics cookies: Vary by provider, typically 30–365 days

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
